Healing Through Hockey
The Pacific Northwest Veterans Hockey Foundation is proud to announce the addition of the Seattle Warriors Hockey Team - a team built specifically for disabled Veterans with a service-connected disability rating of 10% or greater.
PNW Veterans Hockey Foundation exists to build community through the game - creating consistent opportunities for Veterans to gather, skate, and support one another. The Seattle Warriors expand that mission by creating a dedicated space for Veterans navigating visible and invisible injuries, in an environment where shared experience becomes shared strength.
Why this addition matters
Strengthen peer connection and belonging through a team environment
Support wellness through routine, movement, and shared purpose
Expand the Foundation's ability to contribute to Veteran suicide prevention, community building, and recreational therapy
Who the Seattle Warriors are
Seattle Warriors Hockey is a co-ed group of honorably discharged, service-connected disabled Veterans with a VA disability rating of 10% or higher.
Healing Through Hockey
"Healing Through Hockey" is more than a tagline - it's the reason this program matters. Hockey doesn't replace clinical care, but it can be a vital complement: routine, peer support, physical activity, laughter, accountability, and a team that notices when someone is missing.
Spotlight: Warrior Nationals in Dallas (April 23-26, 2026)
As the Seattle Warriors launch under the PNW Veterans Hockey Foundation umbrella, the team is building toward a major national milestone: the USA Hockey Long Drink Warrior Hockey National Championship, held April 23-26, 2026 in Dallas, Texas at Children's Health StarCenter. Warrior Nationals are more than a tournament - they are a national gathering of Warrior teams and an opportunity to compete, connect, and represent our region with pride.
A goal to skate toward together as a newly integrated team within the Foundation
A community milestone that brings our local mission onto a national stage
A rally point for support as travel, equipment, and ice time require meaningful investment
How to support
Veterans (10%+ service-connected disability): connect with the Foundation to learn about upcoming skates and team opportunities
Supporters: donate, sponsor, volunteer, or share the story to help expand access and build a reliable community program
