Hockey is more than just a sport. It is a way of life, a community, and a therapy for many military veterans. Hockey can provide veterans with a sense of purpose, belonging, and camaraderie, as well as a chance to improve their health, fitness, and well-being.

In light of that we're SO excited to have our first group of Veterans start the Learn To Play Hockey program yesterday! Our first three candidates took the ice for the first time at Sno-King Renton to start their hockey journey. All decked out in new gear from Elevate Sporting they looked great out there!

Hockey can connect veterans with other people who share their experiences, challenges, and goals. It can create a supportive network of peers, coaches, mentors, and friends who can offer guidance, encouragement, and assistance. Hockey can foster a sense of belonging and identity among veterans who may feel lost or alone. We're excited to introduce hockey to military veterans and help them benefit from the sport.

If you are a veteran who is interested in learning to play hockey, or if you know someone who is, you can find more information HERE.
